About the museum

Established in 1944. The museum collects stores and exhibits materials about the history, culture and art of Madona city and region. The former Biržu Manor granary was restored and a spacious art exhibition hall (Skolas Street 10a) was added at 1984. There is a permanent exhibition about the archeology of the region.
